Refugee Museum of Denmark
FLUGT
2022
Made at Shosho.
The site of the largest Danish World War II refugee camp has been transformed into a museum about the stories of international refugees.
The second room after the entrance, an impressive space with multiple seats and screens, shows different takes from the media on different refugee crises throughout history.
A pressing combination of abstract numbers, headlines, photographs and moving images.
The spatial setup multiplies the intensity of the film, being able to see more from the peripheral view on other screens throughtout the room.
Eventually the film comes to a climax, and the abstract idea of a refugee gains a voice and a face.
You are now eye to eye with a person.
