Tegenlicht - The Wall Street Code

For this episode of Dutch documentary series Tegenlicht (Backlight) Motoko was asked to visualize the High Frequency Trading on the stock markets. Motoko in turn reached out to me to help them dissect some brains.

The animations visualize the obscure world of the algorithms and the complexity of the trading mechanisms on Wall Street.

I was responsible for the design, visualization and animation of most of the micro organisms. The breakdown of the trading mechanism was made using actual scans of neurological pathways of humans, frogs and mice.
